General Terms and Conditions (AGB) for Language Courses at Sprachschule TaliLingo

1. Course Booking and Payment

  • The course fee must be paid in advance. At the beginning of the course, the client will receive an invoice for the total amount, which must be settled within seven (7) days of receipt.
  • Continuing the course at the next higher level is generally possible and will be offered to participants.
  • Changes to course fees and course offerings may occur even during the ongoing course year.

2. Participation Conditions

  • The courses are aimed at adults. Regular attendance and cooperative participation are expected.
  • In case of disruptive behavior, we reserve the right to exclude participants from the course.
  • Learning success and reaching a specific level depend on individual conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Depending on the course type, a course at a specific level may begin with different lessons.

3. Cancellation and Refunds

  • In case of cancellation after the course has started or non-participation due to personal reasons (e.g., illness), no refund of the course fee is possible.
  • If a cancellation is made up to 4 weeks before the course begins, a cancellation fee of €30 will be charged.
  • For later cancellations (less than 4 weeks before the course begins), we charge 20% of the course fee for four weeks, with a minimum fee of €30.

4. Class Cancellations and Schedule Changes

  • If the designated instructor is unable to conduct the lesson due to illness, a substitute teacher will be provided. If no substitute is available, the lesson can be rescheduled.
  • If the course is canceled by the language school, already paid course fees will be refunded. Further claims are excluded.
  • If the lesson is not canceled at least two (2) business days in advance by the customer, the lesson is considered given and will be fully charged.
  • Lessons that are canceled on time can be rescheduled

in agreement with the language school within two months after the end of the contract.

  • Direct agreements with instructors do not count as official cancellations. Cancellations must be made via email to the school.

5. Termination

  • Termination after the course has started is only possible in consultation with the language school.
  • If the customer terminates the contract, the language school may charge a cancellation fee for the remaining lessons.
  • Exceptions can be made as a goodwill gesture, but there is no entitlement to them.
  • There is no entitlement to lessons with a specific instructor.

6. Data Protection (GDPR)

  • Participants’ personal data will be used exclusively for course administration and customer information.
  • No data will be shared with third parties.
